AI creative operations / Deterministic control layer
Creative Supply Engine
Built a Python creative automation pipeline that turns structured campaign briefs and reusable product assets into localized AI-assisted social creatives across 1:1, 9:16, and 16:9 formats, with deterministic logo/text overlays, compliance checks, run logs, and review galleries.
- Operating proof
- Direct implementation evidence for a reuse-first creative operations pipeline, spanning structured campaign briefs, optional OpenAI image generation, deterministic brand composition, multi-market localization, compliance checks, provenance logs, and human review packaging.

Primary artifact
01 / 08Localized 16:9 campaign output
The final citrus creative combines a reusable campaign hero with deterministic Pulse branding, English-market copy, CTA treatment, and a verified 1920 x 1080 output ratio.
01 / Context
Situation
•Generation was only one step
Campaign teams need to produce consistent, localized social creative across multiple formats without rebuilding every asset by hand.
•Brand rules needed deterministic control
AI image generation can help create campaign hero assets, but brand, copy, compliance, sizing, and review requirements still need deterministic controls.
•A sample campaign defined the operating context
The fictional Pulse Beverages campaign uses reusable product assets, a structured YAML brief, English and Spanish market copy, three social ratios, and required logo and prohibited-word checks.
02 / Mandate
Mandate
•Create a reuse-first pipeline
Create a CLI workflow that can read a campaign brief, reuse existing hero assets when available, generate missing assets when configured, and output production-ready social ratios.
•Scale copy and composition across markets
Support multiple products and locales while preserving brand rules, CTA text, campaign messages, and safe layout behavior across each ratio.
•Make every run reviewable
Produce reviewable outputs, run logs, and compliance checks so generated creative can be inspected before campaign use.
Deterministic brand source
The source logo is composited after image generation so brand presence remains explicit, repeatable, and independently checkable across every ratio.
03 / Build
Build
1.Packaged a repeatable Python CLI
Packaged the workflow as the pulse-cse Python command with structured brief loading, campaign logging, and repeatable output paths.
2.Reused approved assets before generating
Implemented local hero-asset reuse first, with optional GPT-5.5 image generation through the OpenAI Responses API and a visible placeholder fallback when live generation is unavailable.
3.Composed three production ratios deterministically
Used Pillow to crop and compose 1:1, 9:16, and 16:9 outputs with deterministic logo placement, localized text overlays, and brand color treatment.
4.Logged provenance, compliance, and review output
Recorded whether each hero was reused, generated, or replaced by fallback; checked dimensions, required logo application, campaign-message presence, and prohibited words; then emitted a browser review gallery and packageable review bundle.
Repeatable CLI run
The pulse-cse command records brief loading, four localized creative sets, run-log output, and the browser review gallery produced by the same pipeline.
04 / Outcomes
Outcomes
•Twelve outputs from one structured brief
The sample run produced four product-and-locale sets across two products, two locales, and three social ratios, for twelve final creative files.
•Four localized sets passed documented checks
The run log confirmed expected dimensions, required logo application, campaign-message presence, and prohibited-word checks for each product-and-locale set.
•A human review bundle remained the final gate
The workflow packages final creatives, the source brief, run log, compliance state, and review gallery for inspection. It demonstrates a tested local prototype rather than claiming autonomous campaign approval or production deployment.
English citrus 1:1
The square placement preserves the English campaign message, CTA, logo, and product focus while recropping the same reusable hero asset.
English citrus 9:16
The vertical placement demonstrates ratio-aware cropping and safe deterministic overlays from the same brief and approved asset source.
Spanish oat bar 1:1
The square oat-bar output applies Spanish-market message and CTA fields while retaining the shared Pulse brand rules.
Spanish oat bar 9:16
The vertical oat-bar output keeps localized copy and the deterministic overlay system legible across the taller social format.
Spanish oat bar 16:9
The landscape variation completes the representative review set and shows the same localized campaign state across all three output ratios.
